Willing to buy if you have one or I have a 4 banger out of a Scout 80 and a manual transmission from a Scout II for trade.

I've got one. It's in a 2x4 '73 1210. The engine is out and I have the complete setup from the carb linkage to the flexplate and all. I'm located in hopland, CA. The engine is out of the truck so removing the tranny is no big deal. I drove this very briefly truck and the trans was fine.

Sorry for the dumb question but would that work with a 4x4?

1964 Scout 80 - 304 with manual in it right now but wanted to switch to a 727
4x4

Ok, good info, thanks.

The a-727 used in IH pickups and travelalls are "divorced" units and will not mate to a transfer case. They utilize a short drive shaft with a u-joint at each end, one attaches to a yoke on the transmission output and the other end attaches to a yoke on the transfer case input.

The Scout requires a "married" transmission/transfer case due to the shorter wheelbase.

So, in other words, this one is not for you Scout.

I have a 727 with torque converter out of a 78 Scout II. It has approximately 100k on it when the Scout was wrecked. I'm located in lake county, CA.

I have two 727 transmissions. Both from Scout II. One is 1974, the other unknown. Both are ready to bolt transfer case to. I would sell one. I do not know the condition but would think someone would want to go thru it before the trouble of installing it. Located in tulsa, ok.
