Okay to start out with the Scout is on a slight slope and wanting to do a SOA and axle swap at the same time and to do this it needs to be on level ground. I had gotten up and running very well tuned the carb so it doesn't run Rich and I drove it around the farm and ran out of gas and managed to roll it down the hill to the back yard and it has been sitting for a few months I finally put gas in it and the battery is brand new and fully charged but I put it in and the engine will barely turn over which had the same battery before and it worked fine. I've traced all wires from the start that was in the engine bay for loose connections I also have one green wire that comes from the starter to above the engine and isn't connected to anything or and it doesn't like to be grounded and it's not long enough to reach anything in the bay this is also a 72 Scout II with a 304 with a Holley 2300 carb bolted to a 3 speed what should I try to do before I decided to take the starter off to go get tested
