I think this latest round of rain in the valley should have put some snow on mormon emigrant. Anyone interested in a snow run? If we go this Saturday, it'll be fresh and snowing while we're there. I can also make it the 15th.
Yeah, nice pic Craig! I think that must have been from one of the rubicon runs.
You want to bring the suburban? Is it even 4wd? I'm all for it as long as it has decent tires. I'd like to get past sly park road
it seems like andy might be interested in next Saturday, the 15th. Anyone else? I think we'll have to watch the snow levels though. I saw this morning that everything might warm up and turn to rain above 8000' on Sunday.
Yeah, that is strange. Craig must've photoshopped that pic, or we must have just woken up?
I checked over on pb and apparently the snow level was too high to result in any decent snow fall on the met. The met starts at about 4000 at sly park road and goes up to about 7000 where it is closed at the snow park. The snowfall this weekend was about 7500. He said snow is there, but it is wet and you can see tire treads down to the pavement. He drove it in 2wd.
We May get another storm this weekend. We'll have to wait and see.
It looks like a couple feet of snow fell the past few days at about 3000' and up. This should mean some decent snow on the met. Anyone interested in going this weekend? I can go either day, but Sunday is slightly better for me. This will probably be our first and last opportunity to do some snow wheeling this season.
I suspect we are not the only ones aware of this and it will probably be a cluster up there.
So how does it looks guys? How about we meet at 9am on Sunday at the safeway on sly park road? If you're unfamiliar with that, take 50 east and then take the sly park road exit. Take a left and go under the freeway. There will be a big safeway parking lot after 1/4 mile.
