1973 1100 pickup 392 v8 vacuum lines

it's just the stock carb on it. Did they make different carbs for it?

Yes.

You could have a Holley two barrel carb or a Holley four barrel carb. Possibly a carter thermoquad carb.

Diagrams are in the IH service manual.

A diagram was attached under the hood of your truck when new, possibly on the heater box or cowl area. Probably faded or worn out by now.

Here is one from my files, probably not the exact diagram for your engine as it is made for an engine with all options, I.e.. A/c, cruise, etc. It is from the IH manual.

Thank you very much. I am a rookie mechanic and just taking it step by step. Also my engine temperature gauge is not working and I cannot locate it on the engine. Do you know the general area where it is on the block?

The temp probe is located on the intake manifold adjacent to the thermostat housing, right side (passenger side in the usa).

Photo, where the plug is installed.

I moved mine to another location, hence the plug in this photo.

I know it has been a while, but I have finally gotten around to replacing it. My problem is there is no wire connected to the temp gauge. I've tried tracing wires but I just can't pin it down. I have a picture but unfortunately I do not know how to post it. Any help would be appreciated
