Metal Head Gasket

Im rebuilding my 345. It is getting overbored, stock cam, regular stroked pistons.

What is the pro and cons of going with your metal head gasket v. Decking the block and going with felpro.

I like the idea of not having it decked and keeping it stock. It will be dd with light trail use.

You pretty much answered your own question. Either install the steel head gasket or deck your block/shave the heads - or do both. Either setup will work fine but if you want all the compression thats available then deck the block, shave the heads, and install the steel head gaskets.

Thanks for the gaskets. A couple of questions, when I install them do you recommend any sealant? I think I've read retorque after about 500 miles, is this right?

Thanks in advance

I usually apply a light coating of coppercoat on both sides of the gasket. Although not required it certainly doesn't hurt to retorque the heads.
