Hey guys-
hope all is well. Im looking for a set of doors for my 79. If you have an extra set laying around let me know.

Thanks much-
Joe m.

I don't have any on hand at the moment. Keep an eye open on Craig's list. I have seen doors for sale on there through out California, in various forms of condition. There maybe a couple members on here that May have a set. Patience

how bout tube doors?

Thanks scooter,
tube doors might be a fun thing to build. Don't really know how to do the latching mechanism for that?? Have you made a set?

I haven't made any yet. But I have been tempted. Haven't had much time lately to actually sit down to design and fab them up. Been kinda swamped the last few weeks with other projects.

Since you're out in livermore, maybe you could swing by during one of the IH work days here in my little man cave of a shop, that we schedule up every once and awhile. Some of the babs members have come up several times. Good times had by all.

Im interested in making the attempt to build some. I have seen your posts about shop days. I would love to make it sometime. We have a new baby and I'm working 2 full time jobs. Time is never on my side.....

My Scout time is limited to Monday afternoons for a few hours. I usually don't have any other time but I will keep in contact and watch for your posts for sure!

Congratz on the expanding family. I can relate to worken two jobs. Been there done that, and still kinda do.

All my Scout time, wheather it by my own or some one elses, is all done predominately on the weekends, fridays through sundays. During the week, I do swing by my shop space for a couple hours after work from my full time job.

My latest build for my ownself self, is on a 73 Scout II, and the build thread of my 73 beast This rig is going through my normal po virus work over and re-do and fix. I do have another build thread for my 74 Scout where I have done a lot of upgrades to, before I barrel rolled it trying to create a new form of tree hugging. Each build, even though slightly different, has some form of what I have access to working on.

Not sure as of yet when the next IH work day will be. But I will post up once we finger it out. In the mean time, I'm glad to finally finish up ronbgone's little 69 Scout 800. Had to do a motor swap. And he just drove it off this evening, all happy as can be, now that he has a good running rig. More on it here

Cheers

Yeah Joe I can attest to scooters shop and abilities. He has welders and a tube bender, be fun to come up with something. My 69 Scout has literally never run better thx scooter

Hey Joe,

I actually have a driver's door for a late Scout. It's in good shape, but you'll have to put the innards in it. I needed one, but I realize I need an early door as I have a 71 Scout II.

It's brown and free if you want to grab it from alameda.

David

ps - if anyone has an early driver's door in good shape - I'm in the market

Thanks for the replies! Im sorry I have not been on the site in awhile. I have a buddy holding a set for me when I get a moment to run down to his place and grab them!

Cheers-
