Weekend camping

I finally got a break in school, rather made my own break by skipping class and hittin the hills! It was great to get the Scout off-road where it belongs. This was just a short jaunt to get to camp.

Nice pics!

Just be really careful, I’m not finding any ohv trails around that area. Logging roads are fine if they aren’t gated or the gates are open, but what you’re on there sure doesn’t look like a logging road or even a trail. Just don’t want you to get in trouble or give the tree huggers any more reason to close the trails we do have. My .02

No, you're totally right. I'm a newb. 99% of what we did was logging roads (but they don't look cool in pictures). This was a distance about 30 yards between two roads. I do need to be more careful. The thought didn't cross my mind. The "trail" I was on had been used by atvs, in fact that's how I found it, a couple of guys were on it before me. Thanks for the .02, I've got much more to learn.

I very much appreciate this post.

You took the advise and "criticism" of a more experienced individual and instead of being offended and defensive, you admitted that you had much to learn and thanked dboy for his knowledge.

Way to go! I usually have to be the bad guy on the forum, thanks for the chance to give some praise.

Yep, bryce is good people for sure. I knew he wasn’t out driving through the forest looking for the endangered 3 toed portuguese flea to run over. We all on this forum understand that he didn’t hurt anything and definitely not to anywhere near the extent that the littering a-holes that we clean up after on all of our trail runs do.:mad5: back when I got my first Scout I used to go “wheeling” up in blm land outside my town, now there are gates blocking even the logging roads off. Live and learn I guess...

Just make sure you don’t post those pic’s on any prius forums.
