Well I guess flex fans and aluminum radiators dont like to meet face to face the radiator will loose that battle. Pics of a shreaded radaitor soon to come not so happy today I just have to keep putting mony into this thing every time it goes off the property

Went thru mud pit and either the fan hit the radiator or chunks got caught in fan and tore it apart I will remove it today and get a few pics

Sorry to hear that. Those aint cheap. Gues you now know that those flex fans are crap. It's also a primary reason why I would never use a flex fan. Either an electric fan or stock version of mechanical fan is the way to go.

Again sorry to hear about the bad luck. Hope Jeff can get something going from the manufacturer

I talked to Jeff today and he said nothin can be repaired on an aluminum radiator but in a few weeks a new supplier will have radiators for cheeper he says. I did have luck fixing my shreaded one today by cuttting the damaged cores and sautering them up so far she is holdn pressure. I found out what caused the damage, the flex fan cutting thru water made the blades flex and hit the radiator I just purchased a new electric fan from summit also I can turn it off in the mud with a switch I think im just gonna buy a brass stock radiator so its easily repairable but other than that ill be back wheeling this weekend:d

Well I tryed a different sorce went on ebay and purchased a new radiator from elsewhere, I hope it will work out well and also purchased a electric fan so... Crossing my fingers

Vance,

if it's not too late we have a solution for you.

If you can return your current radiator, we have a direct bolt in that will be going on sale for $399.95.

This should solve your current issue.

Give me a call if you want, I'll give you the details. The radiators are going on sale next week, but I would be willing to offer you the sale price due to the issues you're having.

Darn , wish I whould have known befour I installed it o well if this one breaks on me I will deffinatly take you up on that deal we will see after this weekend wheelin

Hey vance , how is the quality and craftsmanship on the new radiator. They offer one for pickups and I was thinking about ordering one. Let me know what you think. Thanks justin

Well great looking crafsmenship I noticed that theay weld an inner sleave in both the inlet and outlets for strength I guess and also theay have a stronger upper and lower baceing on them, more welds all over for strength I guess also the trans coler ports seem to be a course thread unlike the previous one with small fine threads. One cool thng is that theay lazer each there logo on the top brace .but all in all looks great but is much smaller in size I hope this is not gonna be a problem

Hopefully the shorter height isn't an issue. Not sure if the extra width makes up for the lack of height. You'll have to let is know how it works out.

Vance I went through and edited the content of a couple of the posts in this thread. We try to be fair, but when the posts start sending business to our competition we need to correct that. This forum is bought and paid for by IH Parts America (Jeff) as a tool for our customers. We are certainly not knocking our competition but do not want to needlessly drive business to them. I hope this is clear.

As far as the current situation with your radiator, we tried to get you to hold on for just a few days. Our radiators, as well as the soon to be released full size ones are a direct bolt in. We are now also stocking radiators for the 41-49 k series trucks.

Thanks for your support, and good luck with the new radiator.

Gulfdawg, please see above, we will have a full size direct bolt in aluminum radiator in stock very soon. If you can hold off, we can get you the right product for the right price.

Totally understandable. I think im gonna sell this one I have on cl and buy the one you have. Im currently having over heating problems, this May be due to my electric fan setup but I would like to have the larger size for my rig, and I also see that theay can be polished very nice:thumbsup:
