nice idle cam!!

Hi, I have a Scout iiss 1978 with the 345. I would like to put a cam to give the motor a rough idle but I dont want to change anything else on the motor except putting headers. Want would be my best choice?
 
I'll not get involved with a waste of time. Either build a hot IH from the ground up or be happy with what you have.

No nostalgia IH cam exists off the shelf. Research the thumper cams that comp makes. See what it takes and have one layed on a sv blank.

it's true, leaving it stock is maybe the best thing. The headers will do the job.

I feel that is the best plan. Big cams require many other modifications to the engine. Eg springs compression carb and the list goes on. Without them things simply won't be happy including you.
