Ok..since ive been pondering my low/reverse band and at moment im more conserned with the "reverse servo" which activates the low/reverse band. After my failed stall test which resulted in a so called failure of reverse, but the truck still moves forward while in "d". Dosent "low/ reverse" also apply to first or second gear also? If that is the case then the servo is working properly to apply the band for the first gear...correct me if im wrong..im still going to do a air pressure check to make sure the band tigtens up, but need to remove the valve body for that. Can I apply the air pressure at the fitting on the outside of case for the reverse servo without removing the valve body? As far as the kickdown band goes, that is only applyed when the downsift occurs? Still have pan and filter off and waiting till at least Friday when the temps get back up in 40s at least. What would cause the tranny to feel like the "brakes are on" when put into reverse? If no visable damage is noted to band/ servo?
