Won't stop

I am finishing up an axle swap (full width GM d44 and d70hd) on a '73 Scout II (345/727/d20) and went for a test drive around the block. I couldn't come to a complete stop at the stop sign in a normal amount of time and the brakes feel soft. I have bled the brakes a couple of times already and I am not seeing any air come out of the lines just fluid, no bubbles. No fluid is leaking anywhere. The discs in front have new (re-manufactured) calipers and the drums in the rear seem like they are fine. But it feels as though there is air in the lines. Any ideas?

I am running full width Dana 44/12 bolt in my 73 and had that same issue with the stock Scout 2 brake booster.

Jeff had to hook me up with parts to accomidate the GM axles. Now it stops like a champ.

Nevermind. I am an idiot. I decided to turn my brain on and look at the problem. I installed the calipers on the wrong sides so the bleeder valve was on the bottom instead of the top. So since the valve was on the bottom I was getting good fluid but no air bubbles. I flipped the calipers to their proper sides and bled them again, works like a champ now.

I thought I remember air bubbles going down in argentina...maybe that's cause I mighta been standin' on my head so my blood would pump the right direction????
