It's Snowing...

Snow is coming down, hoping to get out and do some wheeling. Mike, randy, Craig, Jeff what do your calendars look like? Iron mountain, wentworth, whatever as long as there's snow on the ground I'm ready.

A group of us might be hitting iron mountain road this coming Saturday. So far it looks like 4 rigs (1 Bronco, 1 yj, and 2 scouts). The Bronco and yj are mostly stock, so the trip will be fairly mild. Post up if you are interested in coming along.

I'm on-call which means I have to work this sat. I will see if somebody wants to trade, but I'm not working the day after x-mas. Most likely this late in the week and with the complexity's of vacations and holidays this time of year I will be watching you drive by in the morning. .

it doesn't look like I'll make it. Too much going on. Weekend after Christmas is a good one for me.

I know Christmas time is crazy  . Jesse and I plan to go Scout it out this weekend, but if the following weekend works for you, post up, I'd be up for another run.

Schedule a run somewhere near me or a run somewhere around foresthill and I might be able to escape life long enough to join you guys.

Sounds good, is there any snow over in the greenhorn area? China wall is always fun too. If anyone is interested in going to either of those areas, they work for me.

If there are any last minute folks that want to go tomorrow, we will be at the pollock pines safeway between 9:00 and 9:30.

By the way Jeff, thanks for the unexpected Christmas gift that showed up in the mail today...love January

You're welcome on the gift!

Not sure if there is snow at greenhorn. I honestly doubt it due to all the rain lately. Next month there normally is a huge poker run up greenhorn. I'm going to try to get more info on that and hopefully make it if my work schedule doesn't interfere.

So....................what happened? Any snow? Any pictures? Any suggestion for this weekend. Rock tractors out for sat but he would be in taking his green Scout out on Sunday. Sunday would be best for me also but saturdays a good possibility also.

Matt and I made it up on the 19th. We forgot to bring our cameras, but my buddy brought along his. I should have some pictures tomorrow. The road was pretty easy until we got higher in elevation when we stumbled upon two toyotas burried up to their bodies. They were snow boarders who were using a gps system to find their way to kirkwood. The gps didn't tell them there would be three feet of snow on the road. So we spent the better part of the day digging and pulling them back down the mountain. We had a great time.

Pic 3 is of me hooking one of the toyotas to the front of my truck.
Pic 4 is of pig pen making his way around the other buried toyota to pull him back down the hill.
Pic 5 is of pig pen and me having some lunch.

Had fun that weekend, those guys in the toyotas would have been pretty much screwed if that suburu guy didn't tell us about them. Not many people were up there, so they might of been there well after dark. One of them wanted me to keep pulling him up the hill, when I got him to the top where it was flat I unhooked him and he still couldn't go anywhere, so I left him there and went up to the others. After an hour we came back down and he hadn't moved anywhere, so I had to go around him and pull him back down the hill :ihih:

hope to get a bigger group up there sometime soon. Last weekend didn't work for me, how do the next couple of weeks look for anybody? I should be free if I've got a few days notice.

What are you doing this weekend? Sunday? Maybe I can get my bro to come along. Sat. Looks busy, but you never know.
