wrecked truck

Hood, right fender, grill. Rad support, rad, bumper frame looks straight im to pissed to look I spent sat morning buffing it out from the dobbins trip :mad5:

There are a couple of wrecking yards out in the valley that I have had really good luck finding 74 & 75 truck parts. Let me know if you want to take a ride out there. I have been wanting to head out there and see whats available. Let me know

Jayson,

this is a real bummer, and we missed you at the meeting on Tuesday.

69 to 75 pu and t-all fenders and rad support are all the same (so they should not be to difficult to find). It is the hood and grill that are 74 - 75 specific. I have a radiator for you... Usual price = free, just shoot me a pm or give a call.

At least it was the truck that took the hit an not you or anyone else for that matter...

Type of car did u hit.???

Sounds to me like your next mod should be a custome front an rear bumper:idea:

Jayson...

Be real careful in the repair parts you look at for your '74>'75 front clip! There are very few components that interchange with '72>'73 stuff, and even fewer that will interchange with '69>'71 models!! Stick with '74/'75 stuff or the trickledown will be a major issue.

Yes...they are all considered to be "d" model bodies...but with big differences in sheetmetal and details throughout the production run.

I can post the "front clip" parts list for the '74/'75 if you don't have a copy, along with the '72>'73 for comparison. It's very easy to glean the differences even though the actual line art does not accurately depict the parts.

The parts list for the '69>'71 is far more complicated (8 pages as compared to 2!!) and is very different as compared to '72>'73.

Will the frontend parts swap if I use all the front steel from a 72 or 73 1200 ? I got a smoking deal on one local at that  ill prob get her regardless

Jayson,

according to the conversation I had with doc during our babs meeting the sheet metal will swap and I know for a fact people have swapped fenders and doors. That said micahel mayben wrote about some significant changes. I know he has all the books so he would probably be best to answer this and provide additional details with the differences.
