Ruckus in Harrisburg

I just picked up a flyer on this after hearing about this for over a month. Sept. 4-6 extreme rock crawling and more. Here is the web site: ruckus association | labor day weekend 2009

I went on Saturday and then again today for a while. Not bad for a first time event. Some parts were a little slow but the action was great when it was going on. Will be posting up some pics later when I get them off the camera. Anybody else go?

It was a tough choice between the "ruckus in harrisburg" and another recovery. Took about 10 seconds to get my priorites straight and head for the recovery. What a pleasure to load one with 4 round tires and brakes. The best part is I had the fun of the recovery, it didn't cost me a dime, it's not at my house and we did add another member to IHSTO. That's a win win in my book.

You mean the one in eagle creek for $5000. It wasn't that one. That would be more than Mike's whole fleet is worth.

One does have to wonder why, with all of the different ihc vehicles in the fleet, why a vehicle with a bowtie on the hood was being used for the recovery.

We drive what runs... in this case the bowtie was the way to fly...

The bowtie maybe doesn't win style points but is does get there and get the job done. In this case the recovery was complete before the man of the house even showed. He May not know his rig is even missing. There are plans for a "real IH recovery rig" but there are some tough choices in life like: work on rig or recover another one. So far recovery has won over work. We call that "on the road to recovery".
