Fellas,
does the 1980 Scout with the 4 cylinder and a 4 speed stick, (seller doesn’t know what transmission it is, wide or close) still have the Dana 300 t case?

Well, 1980 was the only year for the Dana 300, but it has been proven time and time again not all 1980's came with 300's. On top of that it's 29 years old, who's to say it wasn't swapped. The only way to tell is to climb under it and check. You'll note the 300 has an aluminum tailshaft housing and the speedometer cable goes into the passenger's side of the case. The only true way to tell.

this thing is in el paso texas and I am in denver, so maybe ill just let it be. Or contact the owner see if he can look. All I really want is a Dana 300

if any one is near el paso, this Scout May be worth the 500$ this guy wants for it.....
