Ok,I'm a virgin, so be gentle :icon_redface:
I got bit by the Scout bug, and want to meet some like minded people.
I'm looking for a club that's not too far from sacramento.
I was looking at scouts west, seems like a good bunch of guys, but a bit far to drive on a regular basis, and some of them directed me to you  .
Another guy from up around marysville is looking also.
I tried to check out the norcal web page and it says it will be up and running soon, but it has said that for a while .
Is the club still up and running, and if so, what areas are the chapters in ?
How do I join, and what are the dues ?

Country boy, nor cal scouts is not a official club, it is just a bunch of us buddies that get together when we feel like it. The only thing that is close to "organized" is the annual rubicon run that rock tractor leads. There are no dues, no "meetings". Sorry, there really is nothing to join.

I'll disagree with ya. It's one of the best kind of clubs, because only buddies are members. You can't just buy your way in. The only way to be apart of the krew is to be " a part of the krew".

So what are you disagreeing with? I totally agree it's my favorite club I have ever been in!!! We are on the same page here!

Edit: I see, you don't agree with the "not a club" statement. Yup you're right best club around and bro's like you are why!!!

Welcome country boy. If you're interested in trail runs and get togethers in the sac/norcal area, keep an eye on this section. Runs vary from mild to hardcore. Rocktractor usually leads the more difficult and challenging stuff, but for the most part if you have a fairly stock Scout that is well maintained, you can pretty much make it to most of the places we go. We usually do a few winter runs up iron mountain, wentworth springs, or any place that's got decent snow. During the summer, trips can be anywhere from the rubicon, fordyce, hollister hills, and prairie city. There is also the big IH get together the IH Sierra Fall Rallye up in dobbins in October. Like Chad and rocktractor said no dues or meetings, just a bunch of guys that like to get out and wheel, camp, and shoot the chit. We are always open to new folks to jump on in, so if you see something you would like to take part in post up.

Matt

Welcome aboard cb.
Scouty mentioned the Sierra Fall Rallye. This will be an excellent opportunity for you to meet the norcal guys and other IH’ers from the sac area.

Hey guys, thanks for the warm and fuzzy welcome :blush2: .
I have been so slammed, I haven't even had time to look on here.
A couple people sent me an invite to the fall rallye, and that would have been awsome, but my Scout's not on the road yet :incazzato: , and I didn't wanna go naked, lol.
I got it to turn over the other day, but it wont stay running unless I pour gas down the carb, so I replaced the fuel pump, and now it catches, but wont idle, so I'm thinking carb.
Anyway,
I was sent a link to the pic's, and there were alot of nice rigs there, :yikes:.
I'd like to get some ideas from some of them to use on mine, and it will be nice to put some faces to the names.
So, I'll gather the wife and kid here as soon as possible, and drop in on a get together, :icon_rolleyes: , as soon as the holidays aren't draining all the money I need for parts :mad2:.

Hey, quick question.
Hey, does anyone know what aftermarket carb is a smog legal 4 barrel replacement for my carter , or where to get a rebuild kit for a 4 barrel carb, on a 345, in a '79 Scout traveler???
I've called every part store close to me, and they all say, those weren't available with a 4 barrel
I know, I know, I haven't called IH only yet, I was trying to find it on my own, cause I'm new to scouts, but I guess I'm not looking in the right places.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks to everyone, and hope to meat ya soon :ihih: .

Carb issue and so on... Call Jeff, or check the tech section. If you look on the web site, Jeff May have listed carbs for CA smog.
