Another great day with awesome wheeling with stellar guys and gal. My rig went everywhere that I pointed it without to much effort and no breakage.

After a few ballet moves by cris and terry on the mini rubicon we headed over to 7-up for some crazy hill climb action. Then we headed to the crushers where me and Mike made it through the upper loop just in time for the rain to start, the rocks to get slippery and cris to get denied with a busted u-joint and a massively leaky power steering box but defianatlly not from lack of effort. 3grand assualt:devil:

got a few videos soon to follow.

Few pics

broken hub hill!?!?!

Why's it have to named after me?

Nice vid.

First time I was on the hill "casper" spit hub parts at me. So I figure that's reason enough for a name. Although after today we could call it "dirty shorts hill"

your Scout did go everywhere today even drove through the upper crushers like you were going across town for groceries...

great video!! Looks like terry broke jennifer's Scout. :nono:

a great day for wheeling.

Lyle

Turns out nothing was broken. It just hit so hard it sounded like u-joint coming apart. He drove out of the hill and wheeled the rest of the day..

Wow cool video! Good job Dad!

Great trip! Thanks to everyone who showed up and thanks to the trail boss(es) for leading the way. I had fun

Well, after closer inspection on a level shop floor it looks like we broke at least one rear spring. We'll know more after the flight data recorder info is analized.you can guess what the cockpit voice recorder has on it.

The landing site was at a severe enough angle as to result in zero oil pressure, from the oil pickup sucking air.

Chris' attempt at the same thing was pathetic. At first glance this looks like a crappy out of focus pict, but look closer the front tires and back ground are not blured.

Finaly dan proving that you can wheel the crushers and not spill a drop!

yeah, I think so!:out:
might be easier to put one of these in, it's already set up!

ls7: the largest, most powerful small-block ever built

I don't know what you guys are worried about. 1000's of IH's are rolling around right now with zero oil pressure all day long   what is 30 seconds going to hurt?

When I was 'parked' on my nose in that spot I lost all pressure and started 'ticking' pretty good as well. If I had any money in the motor at all I might have been concerned.... this thing has given me 10 good years of service on a set of valve cover gaskets and 2 freeze plugs.

Some pics from 7up. One of the 'hardest' trail sections in the tsf. It doesn't look that bad, but the exposure is pretty bad, if you start to go over, it will be a few rolls before you come to a stop.

I just got done pressure washing all the mud and power steering fluid off my truck and got some damage pictures.

Here is the u-joint. It actually looks like I ripped one of the ears off the inner axle shaft as the u-joint is in one piece. And since I weld the caps to the ears -- it wasn't a cap failure either....

I also found a bent front spring. I'd wager it was bent when I was doing my nose stand.
