Fuel tank pickup tube?

Hi Jeff,
I see you have the fuel tank sending units for the 80/800's.but do you also have the pickup tube with the in tank filter/sock? I May be in need of one and want to price it beforehand. Thanks.

Steve

If Jeff doesn't have any of the tubes in stock, I have one fresh one at my end.

I clean these to an immaculate state internally, then solder the entire mount to the tube to prevent any fuel leakage (imperative!). A custom cut replacement gasket and screws come with 'em.

I do not ever use the oem-type "sock". Those lead to all kinds of problems down the line. I place an inline fuel filter between the tank tube and the fuel tank selector valve, then another one between the selector valve and the fuel pump to prevent any debris getting into the pump. Then one final filter before the carb inlet. Major anal overkill but you will never have any fuel delivery problems in your lifetime!

If interested, Jeff will price this to ya and have me drop ship to yore door!

Thanks michael,
I didn't like the idea of the in-tank "sock" either!! Fuel filters you can access are the way to go! I'm gonna have to make sure the tanks worth saving 1st, but I just May need the one you have. I pulled the tank and have some rust but I'm gonna see how well I can clean it before I opt for a replacement tank. Will let you know as soon as I can.
