392 Rebuild Cost?

Incredible site, really great. Jeff, how much would you charge me to rebuild an improved cooling 392? Looking for a little more than stock, running a carburetor. I could bring it to you. It's currently running for now, but not for long... Ballpark cost is fine. Thanks! Happy new year! Actually, how about a 300 horse, 400 ft lb torque motor? Maybe port matched heads to exhaust manifolds/ aluminum intake, mid range cam, etc. Thanks again.

Glad you like the site.

Engine rebuilds start at $5000 and go up from there. Expect to pay a bit extra to get that type of reliable horsepower and torque. Best ta call to talk about options and from I'll be glad to provide an estimate.

What about 392 improved cooling rebuild kits? Do you sell them or recommend a company that sells these kits? Yesterday I had something let go inside my 392, I'm not sure what it is yet. It sounds just like a torque converter bolt that backed out and is hitting something, but when I pulled the flywheel cover all the torque converter bolts were tight so I removed the oil pan and it was just full of little copper metal shavings. Nothing seemed loose, so I'm wondering if it is maybe a bearing....not sure yet, but either way I'm going to have to have it rebuilt.
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to what to do at this point? Any help would be much appreciated!!

Sorry to take so long to get back with you. Our new website monitoring system had a few responses fall thru the cracks.

Best to give us a call as I'd be glad to quote you out a rebuild kit. We should have no problem setting you up with the correct parts needed.
