Hi there - if you are doing an engine swap of your 196 4 cylinder, and it is in good condition let me know. I'd be happy to help offset your costs by purchsing your 196 and/or the attached 4 speed/bell housing.

Located in norcal. Willing to pay $450 for a good running 196 out of an 800with full compression, no knocks, smoke, or burning oil. If it is rebuilt with upgrades and documentation would pay up to $650.
 
We have a good running 196 with a 4 speed trans and Dana 20 transfer case. It's not currently in a vehicle but vehicle was driven into our shop when it was taken apart for a customer build. If you are interested in the engine or all of it best to call the sales office for more info and pricing.
