any interest? Post up if it works. Then I will edit this post to add the address, for those who haven't been here before.

It's been awhile since we had one here in my little man cave. Moose did mentioned something about headliner. Just maybe, I might be ready to bend up some tube in order to build a full cage for my 73 beast. The one that came in it was poorly designed and too thin of material.

I will have the roll up door opened early for who ever shows up. The building is on the corner of nevin, 1st, and a st. If weather holds up, I'll wheel out the webbers.

At this point it looks like I can make it. I'll keep you posted.
I just replaced the rag joint that I ripped at the ralley today with a borgeson u-joint. Now ol' rusty handles like a modern car!

I edited my first post with addition of the address.

Haven't found my bearing puller. I just May have to go out and purchase one. Mainly due to the fact that I May have another axle build coming up in a few months

I had thoughts of posting an add on c.l. Regarding this work day. I know scoutdude80 had ran an add or two for the first couple ones I had here. The pdf files that he used and sent me copies of, are out of date with the old forum & store name.

Any one able to re-do those fliers? That maybe we could get some of the local IH enthusiasts coming. In the last couple weeks, I have seen several IH trucks and scouts driving around town that I haven't met yet. And I'm not sure if they are aware of this forum.

That sucks. Don't they know that IH comes first - lol hate it when work gets in the way of the fun stuff.

Reality check, it's better to be working than not at all. Speaking of which, this damn bart strike caused me to miss almost 12 hours of work this week.

I forgot to mention that I will be in the cave extremely early already wrenching. I kinda need to do a little musical vehicles to clear up the drive in. I will try to have the roll up opened by early to mid morning. Things will get rolling once people start showing up.

Well - since I was the only one who showed up, I spent a good part of the day pulling out both drive shafts and draining fluid out of the 727 trans in my 72 yellow Scout. Along with removing the tranny cross member. Lovely smell of burnt fluid. With all the crap in the pan, is what's left of the forward band and most likely the clutches.

A shower is definitely needed since I probably smell like burnt trans fluid

Too bad no one showed up. I couldn't pass up the chance for overtime...

Ah, the smell of burnt trans fluid! Luckily it does wash off!

Any chance of some over time = take it. I would have done the same. Had lots of ot the first half of this year.

In some ways I had a feeling that no one was going to show. Oh well. I'm always here in my cave on the weekends, for those who wanna swing by and hang out.

As far as the trans rebuild goes, which hasn't been completely pulled out yet, I plan on starting up another build thread for this Scout in question. Saturday also gave me a chance to pull out the ole p.o. Hacked oem front seat brackets. Already have replacements. Also pealed out the deteriorated carpet and vinyl. Overall, the floor seems sound in comparison to what I have seen. Especially since this rig was stored out on the street without a top for a number of years. Anyways, another build thread is in the works, since it's looking like I'm keeping this one.
