Hello from Australia, thank you for your time.
I have come here to this forum as the following question is causing arguments here in Australia and sadly even going as far as causing friction between long time friends.
I have come to the realisation that I need consultation from a true International enthusiast and to do that, I need to be speaking, to an American.
I have a IH 392 ic in an Australian built International ACCO. It's an ex fire Truck. For several reasons I need to reverse the placement of the inlet manifold on the heads. Yes, you read right, I need to spin it 180° and run the plumbing from the water pump, radiator, and heater hoses all the way around the park. I'm going to try and send the water in though the rear. Some say it can't be done, others ridicule me, the ports won't match they say ! But I believe they will, I made a template and spun that piece of cast on it's back, every port, every bolt hole matched. It's not symmetrical, one deck lies forward, one back, but when you spin it, it sits the same. The galleries are different, my knowledge is limited on where the water travels.
Gentlemen, could this be done or will I cook my motor. Any input would be much appreciated. Thank you.
