Woodland, Ca

Hey guys, I posted this over on the bp but figured maybe more cal people would see it here.
I'm coming to woodland(the one near sac, not the other woodland) to build a water tower after thanksgiving. I've never been to that part of California and I need some advice.
I live in my 34' fifth wheel when I'm on the road and have found some rv parks on the internet. The thing is, a written description on the web can leave alot to interpretation. Do any of you know of any rv parks near woodland? I'd be willing to drive 30 miles or so to work each day.
I was hoping some of you out there could tell me what places to look for and especially which places to avoid. I know that it May seem silly to drag an rv 1700 miles, but it's kind of like my home away from home and it's definitely is better than a motel.
The job should last 7 weeks, so a motel bill would add up.
Thanks,
ian

I'm not that up on rv parks in the area, but I do visit family in woodland occasionally. Woodland's a decent place. You are very close to sacramento there, so you should have a good choice of places. West sacramento doesn't have a very good reputation for security. Same goes for south central sac./florin area. I would think some others from up in the sac area will post up here, soon.

Go north young man..... Try dunnigan, 20 miles north, killer little rv park with golf course. We've stayed there before, like 5 years ago, a little noisy near the highway, pick a spot farthest from hwy and you should like it. Have to call for weekly or monthly rate, but should see a bargain in November/December.

Thanks for the help. A guy that works for me had some friends out that way and got us into a 5bdr rent house in roseville. Seems like a good deal(at least until we get there).

Be sure ya drop by and visit the ihon crew in Loomis. They are yore new next door neighbors if yore gonna hang in roseville. At least until the move up to Grass Valley in the spring.

You gonna commute from roseville to woodland??? What a bitch that's gonna be, especially on Thursday>Friday nite during tahoesnow season! That ain't no way to live...I did it it for way too long! There's more rigs parked on I-80 on Friday afternoon than live in the whole state of oklahominy!

We've been told there's a "backway" around sac, so maybe we won't spend all of fri on the interstate.
I had plannned on buying myself some Christmas gifts at Jeff's place. Don't know if I'll make it there or not as I'll be working 6 days/wk. Maybe a rain out will give me a chance.
