Wiring Harness vs Basic Wiring Kit

My 61 Scout 80 has old wiring in pretty poor condition. I have found a shop able to redo the wiring, but I would like to source the parts myself.

I found a 12 circuit wiring harness for my vehicle on another Scout site for $549 and I was wondering what is the difference between a full harness And the kwikwire 8 circuit basic wiring kit for $214 on IH Parts America.

I suspect all I am needing is the basic, as my Scout is basic.

Any help at all is much appreciated!

The kwickwire product is phenomenal! If you want to rewire, this kit is awesome!I used the 14 circuit on my 73 and have had no electrical issues since I installed it. The engine fired the first time I turned it over with the new wiring!

Without seeing the 12 circuit harness that is offered elsewhere the only thing that I can tell you that is different is the price. The kwikwire kits that we sell are every bit the quality of other competing brands such as painless and ron francis however without the painful price. The kwikwire kits are a complete kit that run from front to back and every wire is labeled every bit of the way. Unless the more expensive 12 circuit kit includes switch's and other needed parts I cannot imagine it being any better than what we offer.
