check with a glass company or salvage yard for a new windshield.
About a month ago, I checked with my friend who works at a local salvage yard for availability and price for a new windshield. They supply new glass. He said he could get me a new windshield for my 1962 c100 for $168. Said it fits several ihc trucks up through the 70's.
Prior I had checked with auto body shops without success. I guess it took someone who is willing to search.
Good luck
you can get a new windshield for about $150. It will probably be made in china or mexico but having recently gone through this, the glass guy said that the windshields made out of the u.s. Tend to fit better. Don't know if this is true or not. The other thing is that if you have glass guys install, they typically will not warranty a windshield unless they supply the seal and the new glass.
I'm in chico, CA. Perkins glass in paradise, CA got my (2) c series Travelall windshields. If these are still available, d series such as yours must be still available too. Going the used windshield route (which is what I tried to do at first) is difficult.
It can be very hard to tell if the glass has a defect and sometimes that defect does not appear until you try to re-install the windshield. If it blows up on you or the installer, you are out that money.
I understand that the new glass will not have the original stamp etc. So if you are trying to be "pure" you gotta accept the risk of used glass. You can call me if you would like to talk about more in depth.
