Windshield adjustment?

'76 terra with a replaced tub. Put the original ws back on but it doesn't lean back far enough to close the gap on the wing windows of the window? I see some screws; that look like they adjust the ws forward or backward, when the door is open. Anybody know the proper way to adjust the screws? There's like three nuts with a bolt hitting the frame for adjustment?

There is one adjustment on each side. You can see them at the top inside of the door jambs as you mentioned.

Loosen the top holding nut (I.e. Lower it - this is the one that is right up against the underside of the frame) then the holding bolt underneath and then the rest of the adjustment assembly turns as a unit to raise or lower the frame. When you have it set right you can cinch the top holding nut back up to the bottom of the frame and tighten the holding bolt.

Your manual should show a measurement for the correct distance between the top of the windshield and the top of the rear door jamb.

That holding bolt shown in the pic is actually too long, but just there to explain what you should see.

*edit - added a pic and additional comments

thank you so very much! I figured it was something like that but wanted to make sure. Anybody have that measurment that you are talking about?

It's in the service manual! 35-3/4". Or why not adjust it until the windshield angle aligns with the top header and doors?
