which parts to buy

I know what I need, I just need to make sure it is the exact model I need before I buy from the store.. So let me know please.

I got an axle from a Dana 44 from a 78 Scout II. I am putting it in my 72. The 78 is set up with disc, my original axle was not.
I got new calipers, rotors, pads, ring&pinion, and the spider gears were good.

What I know I need to get one spindle, and two hubs..
I know the store has them, so let me know exactly the model I need before I order.. Thanks..

Part #: sii-whl-brg-hub-kit ???
And
part #: yaw-38105 ???

Will these work with my setup?

Also, will my original locking hubs work with the 44?

Are you going all stock Scout parts? If so, all the new parts should be ordered for the '78.

Since you said you're buying hubs, I guessing your '78 d44 didn't come with them? You might try the junk yard.

The locking hubs should be the same. You can count the spines on the outer shaft and compare to your hub.

Sii-whl-brg-hub-kit will work if you want to go new.
Yaw-38105 is the correct spindle. If you're unsure, call IH north. They can help!

If you haven't already, I would change the inner axle seals. If the axle is apart, now is the time to do it! Also front axle u joints and ball joints should be triple checked. It's way easier to change them now then when the axle is under your truck.

Ok I talked to my buddy, the hubs themselves are useable, but all the internals of the hubs both sides, are trash.. Can I buy a kit that comes with all I need, minus the wheel bearing hub?

Thanks again.. I ordered those today, and talked to the guys at ihon, and they were helpful.. More $$ into an axle that is not even on my fully functioning Scout II..lol. But the 44, and disc brakes will be nice in the future, once its mounted.
