This is probably a dumb question, but is this the PCV valve? I'm want to replace it. This is a 1971 1110 pickup with 304 engine. In the service manual, it looks like it should be between the carburetor and the firewall, but to me the only candidate looks to be this circled valve the driver side of the carburetor. Thanks!

Thanks - I don't see such a valve or hose on my engine. There's a lot of grease back there, but I think I should be able to see it. This is the passenger side valve cover, so I'm guessing this is the PCV valve??? The flame arrester is on the driver side.
The service manual showws something similar to the PCV valve on the beautiful red engine that int77345 posted above, but I just don't see anything like it on my engine.

You can actually take that particular PCV valve apart and clean them. It doesn't look like it, but it does unscrew for access to the innards.
