What rear bumper for 73 1310?

I have a 73 1310 4x4 with the standard 8' bed that I am putting a original fleetside box back on. This is a single rear wheel 1310 with 132" wb. I wanted to know what rear bumper came with these pickup's originally. I have located a boneyard that says they have a small chrome type rear bumper and a diamond step type rear bumper. This truck has a small driveshaft off the transfer case that runs all the way to the back of the frame, thought maybe it was for a winch. I have attached the LST. Thanks

My best guesstimate is that your truck was built as a cab & chassis, that is, with no pick-up box, and also with no rear bumper.

The dealer then installed the pto and other equipment that is no longer in place, 40 years later.

A ihc pickup with a pickup box would have one of four rear bumper options from the factory:
1. No rear bumper.
2. A silver painted rear bumper - similar to the front bumper.
3. A chrome rear bumper - similar to the front bumper.
4. A silver painted "diamond plate style" rear step bumper.

Thanks for the info. I know this truck had a pickup box on it in 1979 when my father bought it. It was turned into a service truck and had a flatbed installed. I found a nice 72 1210 2wd camper special that has a very nice box on it, but it is missing the rear bumper because it had a camper w/step bumper on it. I just wanted to make sure the type of rear bumper was not on the LST. Thanks

I agree with 1975ih200 -- cab & chassis delivered to the dealer.

There is no "line" on the LST for a pickup bed.

Another "clue" is the line del ext trim - cab

if the vehicle had been delivered to the dealer (dealer or customer ordered) with a pickup bed, one would assume that the bed would have had the exterior trim package, also. (since you could order an IH "anyway you wanted it", this statement is not 100% true.)

someone with a pickup (with deluxe or custom exterior trim) from the factory would need to confirm this via their LST.
