Got these numbers off the side of the carb, I removed it and I assume its a 2barrel. Are rebuilds easy to do for someone who has never done one before? Trying to google step by step on a rebuild but I cant find one like this.

I had that one barrel for that other Scout, too much drama with it so out with it and got something else.
One picture is the numbers I found, another is where I assume its leaking gas thanks

The important number is on the front of the bowl, 8241 a. This is the Holley list number, and my sources indicate it is one of the 22xx series mixers, or at least it uses the same carb rebuild kit.

...are rebuilds easy to do for someone who has never done one before?
In short, no.

It was the first carburetor I learned on, and it schooled me pretty well. It can be done. But there are many issues with this unit's setup, one being the design principle. They were engineered as throwaway item. If you will look up "2210" on this forum and in the dedicated thread, you will find out why so many people opt to spend away the headache that is trying to get one in shape. They were meant to pass emissions, and not much more... So they aren't built to last anyway.

I have never found a step-by-step rebuild process either, but really it's all about clean and functional, two things hard to attain with this unit. It's entirely your call, though I would not recommend rebuilding any carburetor with zero experience and zero pages of reference material/service manual.

Regardless of what decision you make, this forum will be useful in figuring out your setup and making it work. I highly recommend several long reads in these pages.

The carb list number shown in that pic is a Holley 2210c, oem on a '78 345, California emissions spec only.

As kyle has mentioned, there are hours of reading just in our 22xx sub-forum right here. Over the last three years we've put much effort into developing and describing all the nuances of dealing with these carburetors (and others) on this site, far more than you will ever find on any other site on the 'net, no matter what the oem subject is.

You simply have to take the time to read through every thread if you want to learn about this stuff, we can't do that for you.

How about scoring a service manual?? Everything you would need to learn regarding these carburetors is contained in that document, including one page dedicated to identification of each list number by application/part number with complete specifications.
