What changes were made to the post 1980 345/392?

We have a 1983 s series bobtail with a 392 sv8 and I was wondering what changes, if any, the sv8 saw after the demise of the light line. It looks like the same engine. But did they re-hd it? Or did emissions continue to kill it?
 
To my knowledge the sv remained mechanically the same in the block/heads department until it was phased out.
Some emissions related ancillary equipment did evolve over the later years but that is limited to external parts...
 
Hmm thats actually facisinating. I know in 85-86 when IH sold their ag line and logo that they discontinued the sv8. But by that time nearly everything was fuel injected. Do you know if IH ever developed or borrowed a fuel injection system for their sv8? Im trying to wreck the bobtail and steal the 392 and tear it apart. :devil:
