I am very pleased that Jeff has selected swepco lubricants as the primary choice and recommendation for use in IH only equipment.
A lot of people don’t know much about swepco so this is intended to be an introduction and also an invitation to post any questions you May have about lubrication needs and differences in what is available in the market.
Southwestern petroleum corporation, manufacturer of “swepco” brand lubricants first opened its doors in fort worth, tx in 1933. In the decades since then, the company has expanded to customers in more than 80 countries around the world.
Although at first, their primary aim was for end-users was the industrial, commercial and agri-business applications, their products have, over the years also made a very nice niche in the way of automotive, high-performance and off-road applications, and are the primary choice of a large number of consumers in those areas. Many times people might say: “I’ve never heard of them before,” and the reason for that is that all of their business is done through dedicated individual, independent customer service representatives. They do not spend big money on advertising.
Swepco lubricants are manufactured using the very finest ingredients, the very best modern lubrication technology can develop and supply…..proprietary technology like lubium®, a highly effective extreme pressure additive used in most of their greases and gear oils, and dimonyl®, the special anti-wear chemistry responsible for industry-leading performance in engine and specialty oils.
You will find that swepco’s price is higher than the “standard off-the–shelf” products available at the parts stores, but to counter that, the cost of using the products is much lower, measured in the way of protection, longer hard part life and less downtime.
