Warn hubs

Hello,
I purchased a set of the warn locking hubs and was in the process of putting them on today, when I realized that the bolts that hold the center piece do not fit. The ones that came off are way too long for the new center piece of the warn locking hubs.
I am switching from lockomatics to manual. Does anyone know what size bolt I need to buy to fit in there? The original bolts wont even fit through the holes on the new hub body.
Thanks,
steve o:icon_sad:

Okay, found out what the problem was:
1- needed to get 3/8 x 16 bolts that are 1 to 1 1/2 inch to replace the original long ones, not a big deal really.

2- warn quality control sucks. One hub body had holes drilled that where the correct size, 3/8. The other hub body had holes that where too small for a 3/8 bolt, had to drill those out with a 3/8 bit.

Glad that you figured out the problem steve. I'm quite surprised to hear of a warn hub defective like that from the factory. If you need us to exchange them just let us know as we will be glad to make things right.

No big deal, hubs are still good quality, just kind of flustered me there for a minute, didnt have to drill very much out, maybe 1/64 of an inch bigger.
Thanks
steve

Well, after further messing with it, looks like I do need a new hub body. Just one side, the other side went on like a champ, no issues. The one that I originaly had to drill out the the holes seemed like that would work, after trying to get it on the vehicle though the holes are too far out towards the edge...seems like it might be made for a different axle or something? I wont be able to drill the holes to make it work any better than what ive got and the bolts just bind up, if I can get them to even start in the holes on the hub.

Sounds like you got a incorrectly packaged set. As soon as my supplier opens up I'll give them a call and see what I can work out.

Here are some pics, hard to see, but the holes are just out of alignment, enought that I could get one to start. But then the rest wont go.

I haven't forgotten about you steve. Still waiting for a response from warn.

Figured it was something like that, not in a real big hurry, planning on putting this on a trailer in June and dragging it 4000 miles to texas, so if its not put together by then no big deal. Thanks for the help with this.
The stud idea is something I will look into.

Have not forgotten about this. Just called my sales rep and asked for a final resolution on this. Hope to hear back on this today. Thank you for your patience.

Nothing to update from my supplier. They will hear it from me about this! For now forward me your new address. I'm going to pull one from inventory and send it out to you. I'll put a call tag in the box so that you can send me back the defective hub on my dime. From there I'll continue the fight with my supplier and warn so as to not to leave you hanging any further. Thank you for your patience.
