Looking for an open carrier 3.92 and up im looking to install a spartan in the rear, mine is open right now bad power lok and some chiped spiders last time I looked :icon_crying:

Jayson,

you should be more specific as you have a 74 pu rear diff therefore a Scout will not work as it is narrower and a pre-74 will need modification as the perches and shock mounts are different on 74 -75 pu and t-all's rear diff's than in previous(square body) years. (I assumed you were speaking of the rear diff).

I think he just wants the differential carrier not the whole axle. If that's the case then he can use any d44 carrier (3.92 and numerically higher at least).

Yep just the carrier I would swap my front to the rear and rear to front but like I said the rear spiders are a lil f 'd, so any junkyard dd44 carrier will do?

Jy is your best bet.

What is wrong with it?

You could just do the spider gears (if that is what is screwed up)...
Saving on having to set up the carrier.

If it is just the spiders I'm not sure where you need a new carrier? I have a few carriers (with broken gear sets as well) you are welcome to come grab one.

I have one that came out of my Scout II. It had 3.54 gears on it when it came out. If this is what you are looking for it is yours……

I'd be interested in carriers for 4.11's and up. Gonna re-gear my d44s but currently have the 3.54 carriers.

You should probably post up in the parts for sale section, but if you want to regear to 4.11 or lower you can just get "thick" cut gears and use your current carriers. That's is what I did with my original axles. I went from 3.31 to 4.56 without needing to swap carriers. Good luck.

Frog, thanks so much man! I figured I'd be into it for another 200 bucks for carriers. The only reason I posted on there was to see if those parts were still around. I'd rather find someone that wants to get rid of something before I post a new thread. Thanks again!
