Wanted: Dana 20

I have had continuous issues with my d20.I know that many don't want to advertise what they have in their "spare pile," so if anyone has one they might want to get rid of shoot me a pm. Thanks!
 
I May have one on the shelf - but needs to be put back together as a rebuild

unless ya wanna buy a completely rebuilt one that's been re-geared with the tere low gear set. 3.15 low range - compared to stock 2.too low - low range. Aint gonna be cheap though. I got it for my 72 though. But it's stuck on financial hold for now.

Or - there's always the one currently mounted in my barrel rolld 74 Scout - lol

or - there's the option of rebuilding your current d20 with the tera low gear set. Which I also have a complete kit still in the box - locked up in my spare locker bin in my man cave. Or rebuild your d20 with the stock gears and new bearings and seals & springs

Thanks for the ideas scooter, but I have already re-sealed this case once, and the gears are just too chewed up from po, and it popping out of gear too often in 4-lo(I stiffened up the poppet springs with small washers before but it still has problems), and honestly, I don't think a Dana 20 is worth the effort of putting all time and money to swap out the gears.

Eventually the "plan" is to do a Jeep tail-housing swap and get a d300, but I don't see that happening in the near future and I want to wheel the Scout, so for now, I am trying to just swap in a different Dana 20.
 
Hey frog, I do have an extra one. I found it for sale on Craig's list. It was in my neighborhood and so cheep I had to check it out. The gears look pristine and everything spins fine, I've never run it but would if I had to. So if you're still in need, give me a call at 925-848-5817. ~ron
