IH parts doesn't have one of these IH model number t44 trannies, so am posting this want ad.

I have a 1966 Scout 800 bottom half, plus 152 ci engine and bw t 90---IH t 13 tranny 2whl drive version.

I am looking for the borg warner (generic t 18) tranny to swap into my set up.

The IH model tranny number for the 152ci engines and 194 ci engines in the Scout 800, 800a, and 800B(which all had the small diameter front shaft) and were for the two wheel drive configuration is t 44 and the IH code number is 13044.

The IH part number is 301 454 c93 for the Scout 800 and for the Scout 800a and b, it is 379 423 c91, according to the parts manuals.

Early versions of the Scout 800 units used left over castings (shift cover and transmission housing) od the t 98 tranny, so can have that on the castings. To be sure one needs to look at the IH bolt tag or be able to recognize the physical differences inside or out.

Getting the bell housing along with the tranny would be the best, but a thread on this site? Indicated the bell housing mated to bw t 90 could be machined/adapted to work.

It would be good to have the clutch assy,. Etc come along, too, if only to assure acquiring correct new pilot bearing, clutch disc, throw out bearing/arm, etc.

Supposedly, these t 44 trannies only came in close ratio (t 18a) or super close ratio (t18c) either would be fine with me.

Any comments, thoughts, leads, or even bets would be welcome.

Thanks in advance.
