Hello to all, I would like to know if there is any chance the vacuum advance that this sites sells for a holly distributor with 5 degree of advance would work in my 1973 IH loadstar with a 392 v8, shouldnt it work since thats the part I need, id also like to contact some one to find out if I could turn in 3 same vacuum advances and was woundering if I could get a discounted price or something, any help would be nice thanks

There are three different type of Holley distributors that use different vacuum advance units - straight point and curved point/electronic ignition(better known as the "gold box". Seeing that we don't know what exact distributor you have we cannot make a suggestion with out you either posting a picture of your distributor or seeing this discussion on distributor identification - http://www.forums.IHPartsAmerica.com/ignition-tech/642-ihc-vehicle-distributor-identification.html
The number on the vacuum advance arm correlates with amount of advance in each unit. It is best to stick with the same amount of degrees but if the one you need is not available you will either have to send yours in for rebuild or pick one with a different amount of advance.

Thanks I did order the Holley vacuum advance with 5 degrees advance I was jw if there was some odd chance it wouldnt work on my truck, I have a 1973 loadstar 1800 much bigger then any Scout or Travelall, do you happen to know how the core charge works? Should I send mine back in the box they mail me?
