I have a mallory duel points (part number 2761701h) dizzy. I want to upgrade to a cd box. A mallory tech said to use the e-spark kit (part number 61011m) I am looking at the hyfire 6a box. I have a couple concerns with the end goal of having the best ignition system I can get on my 345 engine. (1) this is a vacuum advance dizzy, is this ok with the hyfire box? Am I losing anything with this? (2) the coil mallory recommends looks like an oem high resistance coil, I just read mm's post and I thought the best coils with cd boxes are the low resistance ones?
Question about the mallory dizzy, when I turn the input gear it looks like the points are not opening the same amount, is this right?, and there is what looks like felt riding on the cam, is this right? I bout this off the bay.
