Ubolt question.

I had my local axle shop cut down a front Chevy 44 to Scout width so we could use Scout shafts and keep lug pattern. Problem is springs are 2" on Scout and 2.5" on Chevy. So the casting and spring perch are wider then my Ubolt plates causing them to not bolt up verticle. What do you do here? 2.5" wide holes in plates? Or do you have to do 2.5" springs and plates?
I have photo but not sure how to upload it.
Thanks

Let me add I also saw that they sell 2.5" plates here. But can you use them with the 2" springs? Thanks

I used stock Chevy spring plates and u-bolts and just added a 'spacer' to align the 2" spring in the 2.5" space. I welded it to the spring plate to keep it from going anywhere. Worked great for years.
