Traveler Upgrades

hello out there:

79 traveler, 345, 4bbl., 727TF, p/s, p/b, tilt, cruise, a/c, D44 with 3.54's front and back.

On another upgrade, I want to install some "electricals" in the back end (inside) of my traveler such as a cigarette lighter/USB setup along with maybe an inverter for plugging in electrical items. Was looking at what gauge wire to run, where to run it, type of connections at the battery that would be needed, etc. Would like some input/advice on any of this type of upgrade?

Thanks in advance, Richard

Relay off the battery or straight back from the battery thru the frame rail all the way to the back, up through the fender or the floor with good grommets.

12 gauge is plenty for 12v power point and or USB.

I am also considering this for simplifying wiring to portable fridge freezer.

I had planned on a 750-1500 watt inverter. I don't plan to use anything massive with it, just a cooler, laptop, iPhone charge.
