Transmissions T-56 6 speed?

Does anyone know if a t-56 6 speed can handle the riggers of offroad use?

The tremec t56 if that it the one you are refering to is a light car unit. While rated at a high enough torque it probably won't survive long if worked hard off-road or in a truck role.

I decided on a 680le or what ever the model is that is a 6 speed auto that comes from the truck.
