Transmission mount

Ok I put in a wide ratio t19 in my 73 Scout II. I had a close ratio in it before. Now my clutch linkage is not lining up right. I used the mount off the old trans and had a semi hard time lining up the cross member. Now it seems to sit to tall. The bottom of the new t19 seems lower raising the whole trans up thus throwing off the balls for the z-bar. Is there a shorter or different mount I should use? It has raised the ball on the trans about 1 inch I bet. I'm just guessing on that maybe less.

You say you had a close ratio in it before. Was it a t18(non-synchro first gear)? If so you need to remove the 'z' plate as the transmission mount on a t19 only uses the two rectangular rubber mounts, two roughly 3" long studs, two flat washers and two locknuts. With the transmission sitting above one rubber mount and the crossmember the clutch linkage will sit level.

+1 on what Jeff said. I did the t18 to t19 swap on my Scout II last summer. Also if you're reusing the d20 from the old t18, test mate it up on the floor before installing the trans. My t19 needed some grinding for clearance on the d20 shifter.

Right you are Jeff! I did remove a t18 close ratio. I thought it was a t19.
Ok so can I use what I got or have you got what I need. I am trying to get this going to run to calico at the end of next week.

For fdchappie I put in a Dana 300 and I honestly did not check the clearance so hopefully it will work. Problem is it's already in. So taking it out is gonna suck. I'll check here shortly and let you know. Thanks.
