I have a '67 Scout 800a that has a 266, t90, d20 drivetrain. I am replacing the engine (304) and the trans (t18). My question: will the shift cane be in the same position as the t90? If not, which is better: rework the existing trans cover so that the hole will fit the t18 shift cane location, or should I try to find a 4-speed trans cover? If the latter, how difficult are these to find?
