Transfer Case Swap

I have '74 Scout II with an amc 258, 3 speed t15d warner transmission & a single speed, chain drive transfer case, IH #13143. Would love to swap the transfer case with a 2-speed. I have a Dana 20, 2-speed transfer case from a '78 Scout II that had an automatic transmission & an IH 304. Do I need to swap it for a Dana 20 from Jeep? I've seen some other posts from people had the same setup who weren't successful or never posted that they were able to make this work. Any ideas?

Don't know about the t15ds, but if your current bell housing will bolt up to a Scout t19, that would be the way to go.
