top gaskets

What is the little wedge for on the side gaskets for the top. Scout II? Gaskets look top quality and I'm not ready to pop her yet but I'm baffled by those little guys. What are they for and where do they go. Thanks in advance.

If you look where the door seal is at the area of the hardtop and quarter panel the little small wedge goes there to fill a hole that would otherwise be there. If I find a picture of one installed I'll post it up for you.

That would be great. I have never seen a new gasket or even one that was in decent shape.
