throttle cable

guys i have an issue with with my truck. i need a new throttle cable, however i am so broke its not funny. is there a way to shorten up the factory throttle cable? i may need to daily drive it :( also NEED 2 pipe plugs on the back of the 392 intake, can you tell me what size i need to plug them up, sadly this will eliminate power brakes.

Normally i wouldnt beg for help like this but our primary car has taken a shit and we have to have a car, so i will have to drive my truck at 8.5 mpg. sorry for the tirade
 
Throttle Cable - I would recommend a new cable assembly mfd. by Lokar.

Intake manifold plugs could be: 1/4" pipe thread or 3/8" pipe thread or 1/2" pipe thread, depending on position.
 
awsome, i can got get 2 of each and plug them, thenak you so much. and how much for hte lokar? i would get one from here, really good service just dotn have the money
 
You can click on the IH Store products as easily as I can, but the stock IH cables are $44.95 each and the Lokar cable is $55.95 each.
