Three Scouts need a home

Not sure what area to post this. I have no affiliation with the person selling these nor do I have anything to gain. Just hoping to help get these trucks to binder fanatics and away from the crusher.
Ran into a guy this weekend that has a yard full of old vehicles. He has decided it's time to cull the herd and there are three scouts. I was interested in the traveler top on one, but he doesn't want to part out and I don't have room for a non-op vehicle.
I told him I would spread the word to the binder community but didn't think about that until after we had left his yard so I didn't take any pictures.
While they are in a good location now, unfortunately they were stored for many years near the coast in west marin in a field with a creek that would occasionally overflow. The water level didn't exceed the bumper height but the frames and axle housings look more rusty than what you would expect from original CA trucks.
1st truck: 1976 Scout traveler. 88k miles owners says that is accurate. Couldn't open the hood but owner says it should be a 345.says his Dad always ordered all the options and biggest engines available. Has auto trans and 2 speed trans case. Factory air and I think it had cruise. Both sides of body are banged up, hood is messed up. Lots of body rust.

2nd truck (this could be a real gem!) 1980 Scout II 21k miles! I believe this to be accurate as the interior of this Scout is the nicest I have seen in many years and it was last registered in 1982. The brake and gas pedal show no sign of wear and the red plaid seats are not torn nor do they even look very worn. The dash bezel is shiny and has not been cut for an after market stereo. Auto trans, factory air, cruise, bucket seats, tilt wheel, hurricane rims, all interior pieces are in place except glove box door is mia. Now the bad and it's bad. Truck has been in the same salty air field as the others so the body has rust. Especially the top. The truck was in an accident and the driver side front corner is crunched. The outer fender was messed up as was the core support which bent back, damaging the radiator and condenser. The body mount support on the frame has a little damage where the mount pulled loose. The frame look ok though. The 1980 style grill is destroyed on that corner. Truck was parked after the accident and never repaired. That's not the worst part though. At some point someone needed some sheet metal so they cut a huge square piece out of the hood right over the thermoquad carb. Guess where the rain went? At some point someone removed the carb and placed it on the floor inside the truck. The carb was ruined beyond any hope of rebuild. The base plate was basically a solid chunk of rust & corrosion. Didn't look down the intake bores. I was all ready disheartened just thinking about a 21k mile motor full of rain water. :icon_sad:
still I think this truck has potential for a dedicated binder nut.

Truck #3 1976 Scout II. 345 2 barrel carb. Auto trans. Very nice interior all complete. Body is badly rusted even though it was repainted at some point. Didn't get the mileage from this one.

Shoot me a pm if you are interested and I can get you in touch with the seller. The trucks are located in santa rosa. I'm guessing there are about 40 vehicles in his yard he needs to sell. None of them are in great shape but there are a few gems. There's an awesome looking '59 4x4 Ford pickup I would drag home if I had the room.
