A buddy of mine cut off all but his pinky with a table saw. This a picture of a week later after they had attached all of them back on, however the index finger was taken off a couple days later. In the end I think he can consider himself lucky to have 4 out of 5 and unlucky that the saw got him.

Aw shit man...I know that ain't no "buddy's" hand in that pic! That is tater's hand after hiz pop got through shootin' it to the side of the outhouse with a nail gun...agin. Looks just like the other hand did a few years back when pop shot that one to the door facing down in jawja!
For those of ya that don't know tater...we got a term for that kinda stuff, we call it "tate happens".

I am really glad that this isn't my hand. The bad thing is this guy is only 20 years old and will have to deal with his mistake for the rest of his life. He told his Dad that it was a kick back and the piece of wood cut them off.
if it were me and Dad working it would have been more like this:
Dad: I would put my hand right there you could run it through the saw.

Tate happens have become less frequent, I don't know if I left the crap on the farm in in, I have gotten smarter, or I have less irons in the fire but either way life has been a bit smoother. The tate happens started because anything that could go wrong would and always did and anyone who came into contact with me via phone, email, etc... It would happen to them too.
