Hello-
I’m near the end of my T18 rebuild and seem to be having an issue.
Rolling the tranny via the input shaft and moving thru the gears without the control housing all is good until I hit reverse. In reverse the 2 clutches start to grab and make it too difficult to turn by hand. ( this is if I’m grabbing the 2 clutches while rolling).
Can’t figure out why they are fine in forward gears but not reverse.
I replaced the synchronizers during the rebuild....the originals looked fine. Wondering if I should tear it all back apart and try the originals or if this is normal and the engine will overcome the resistance.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
