I thought I would post this, if some of you are interested, there are a few of us here in bakersfield that are planning to do a run through death valley. It will start at the north end of owens valley and end up in ballarat. It is not a difficult run at all. There is one spot in mengal pass that will take a little spotting but I have been through there in a stock chrokee. There is so much to see on the run. Places like the race track, scotties castle and the salt tram that ran from the saline valley to the owens valley. It is a 3 day trip with camping on the trail. Loads of fun. The dates for the run are May 1st,2nd and the 3rd 2009. When the date gets closer I'll post more or you can check on our local club site, link part of the run at the salt tram is at 9200 ft. The views are amazing.
All are welcome and I hope some of you can make it. Last year we did the same run and it was well worth the trip. Thanks, ed
